It is further found that an agricultural and horticultural fungicide having lasting fungicidal activity against plant diseases in a control value of over 90% can be obtained by using sodium bicarbonate in combination with a surfactant, particularly a food emulsifier, and further that the combination shows extensive effect in preventing fruit storage diseases.
