Vitamin B9, or Folic Acid (Folacin), works with Vitamin B12 and C as a co-enzyme in the breakdown and utilization of proteins. It is important for the formation of red blood cells and processes of growth and reproduction. The B Vitamins are collectively known as B Complex. They are coenzymes involved in energy production.*
