Syntol AMD
SYNTOL® AMD
Syntol® AMD (Advanced Microflora Delivery) is a combination of probiotics and prebiotics, classified as synbiotics. Prebiotics are non-digestible food ingredients that stimulate the growth and activity of probiotics by creating the essential environments for probiotics as well as our own indigenous bacteria to flourish. Syntol® delivers probiotic spores rather than living bacteria. Probiotic spores are dormant life forms that protect the bacteria from acidic conditions, as well as extreme heat and cold. These spores then attach themselves to the inside of the intestinal mucosa and begin to germinate forming the probiotic bacteria.
At any one time there are billions of bacteria living inside your intestine, most of which are beneficial.3 Antibiotic therapy, stress, and poor dietary choices may all cause intestinal dysbiosis, which is a bacterial imbalance that results in overgrowth of bad bacteria and yeast.1 Probiotics introduce colonies of helpful bacteria to your gut which work by creating large, healthy colonies that crowd out the candida yeast. They also increase the acidity of the stomach, killing off harmful microorganisms like candida that depend on an alkaline environment to survive.3

Prebiotics and Probiotics |
|
You have bacteria living in your gut. Some of them could make you sick, however there are also bacteria that are actually beneficial. These "friendly" bacteria help keep bad bacteria and yeast from growing in your intestinal tract. Bacteria also help make vitamin K and keep your immune system functioning properly. Normally you have an abundance of friendly bacteria, however antibiotic therapy, stress and poor dietary choices may all cause intestinal dysbiosis, which is a bacterial imbalance that results in overgrowth of bad bacteria and yeast. The antibiotics that you take for killing an infection will also kill the healthy bacteria in your digestive tract. Probiotics are beneficial bacteria that can be found in various foods. When you eat probiotics, you will add these healthy bacteria to your intestinal tract. Prebiotics are non-digestible foods that make their way through our digestive system and help good bacteria grow and flourish. Prebiotics keep beneficial bacteria healthy. |

What Are Prebiotics and Should I Consume More? |
|
Prebiotics are a food ingredient that humans are not capable of digesting (soluble fiber), yet they keep the existing strains of Äúfriendly bacteria Äù in the colon healthy. Prebiotics nourish the Äúgood guys Äù and promote their growth and survival. Keeping the Äúgood Äù bacteria healthy and well-fed has beneficial effects, namely encouraging the existing healthy bacteria to multiply so that they can overpower the harmful bacteria strains. Prebiotics differ from probiotics. Probiotics are actual live Äúhealthy Äù bacteria added to the diet; prebiotics feed the probiotic bacteria. |

Probiotics and the Candida Diet |
|
At any one time there are billions of bacteria living inside your intestine, most of which are beneficial. One effect of candida is to knock this system out of balance. Because candida is such a fast growing yeast, it rapidly reproduces after any negative shock to the intestine. After a course of antibiotics that cleans all the beneficial bacteria out of your gut, it is candida that will likely fill the space. Probiotics introduce colonies of helpful bacteria to your gut which work by creating large, healthy colonies that crowd out the candida yeast. They also increase the acidity of the stomach, killing off harmful microorganisms like candida that depend on an alkaline environment to survive. |

Beneficial Bacteria Boost Intestinal Health |
|
A probiotic supplement was found to stimulate the immune system and improve nutrient absorption in two separate animal studies. Healthy animals and humans benefit every day from trillions of natural intestinal bacteria. These friendly bacteria help keep "bad" bacteria from gaining a foothold that could lead to illness or disease. The probiotic was found to induce innate immune activity in the colon where the probiotic was in highest concentration.
