OSTEOPOROSIS
Osteoporosis is a progressive weakening of the bones from loss of bone mass. There are two kinds of osteoporosis. Type 1 can be caused by loss of estrogen causing a depletion of minerals in the bones. Type 2 can be caused by a deficiency of calcium and vitamin D, usually linked to a poor diet that causes the body to steal calcium from the bones or inhibits the absorption of calcium. Bones become increasing brittle and extremely prone to breaking.*
