Once colloidal silver comes into contact with a one-celled microbe (a germ), it inhibits the cells ability to assimilate oxygen; consequently, it literally suffocates. Since germs cannot build a resistance to the action of silver, there are no known disease causing organisms that can live in the presence of colloidal silver.

Just as we would die within a few minutes if our lungs were suddenly incapacitated, a microbe cannot live without proper oxygen.It suffocates and dies. More importantly, it does not damage human enzymes or alter the body's chemistry. Recent studies performed at the UCLA School of Medicine Center for Health Sciences confirmed that colloidal silver kills harmful bacterial, viral, and fungal organisms just minutes after contact.

Taking a solution in colloidal form might seem strange, but many of our bodily fluids are in colloidal state. For example, oxygen and nutrients from food are minute particles suspended in blood, flowing through our blood vessels to deliver the much-needed oxygen and nourishment to every tissue and organ in the body. All living matter resides in a colloidal state and the body easily deals with substances in this state. Most prescription medications are manufactured in a crystalline state and first must be converted by the body into a colloidal state before they can be used.

Prepared as a colloidal, silver is potent against all types of infectious organisms. Its reputation was established many years before antibiotics became the wonder drug, and was a staple in doctors' medicine chests. By 1918, the British Medical Journals had published two different articles stating colloidal silver's powerful effect on bacterial and viral infections (Duarte 1998). Despite its outstanding record in fighting all kinds of diseases it was extremely expensive to manufacture. In the 1930's the cost per once was approximately $100. Today, that figure translates to over $1,000 for just one ounce. Once pharmaceutical firms began manufacturing chemical drugs at a much lower cost, colloidal silver faded from the scene. By the 1940's, antibiotics became the new miracle drug and despite silver's health benefits and safe reputation it was all but forgotten.

The list of minor and serious conditions that can be resolved using colloidal silver is practically endless. Colloidal silver has the capacity to help you rid yourself of an untold number of infections, disease conditions, or environmental concerns caused by or aggravated by the growth of bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungus, or molds that are either inside or outside of your body, or in your living environment. Paradoxically, this extremely wide breadth of applications has the tendency to overwhelm most readers. The list is so long that people tend to de-focus and unwittingly minimize the full range of therapeutic possibilities that colloidal silver offers. They might rinse their gums with colloidal silver before swallowing, but not think about using it for anything else!

So, besides drinking it, put it into a small atomizer pump bottle (2 or 4 oz size) and carry it in your pocket. I obtained mine by rinsing out a bottle that originally had eyeglass cleaning solution it in, but there are dozens of products utilizing this type of fine sprayer bottle that are found in any drug store. By spraying it externally, you can clear up everything from Acne to Athlete's Foot & Diaper Rash to Poison Ivy. You'll be amazed and pleasantly surprised by the results. The ideas listed below are designed merely to stimulate your imagination. Don't limit yourself by assuming that this list is exhaustive. It's only the beginning! Remember, you need to try it in order to see for yourself what silver colloid can do.

If you're a mother with young children, watch how quickly diaper rash, eye infections and ear infections clear up with colloidal silver. For diaper rash, spray directly on the body and into the fresh diaper. You can apply it with an eye dropper for any type of eye infection. Ear infections quickly heal after spraying colloid in the ear, saturating a small piece of cotton for an earplug and then periodically re-spraying. Spray it on banaid pads to shorten healing time. Spray immediately on burns (sunburns too) to prevent infections, lower pain, and promote faster healing with less scarring. Add to bath water, gargles, colon irrigation and Water-Pic solutions. Added to douches, women will find that it will rapidly clear up vaginal/yeast infections and most cases of cystitis.

Older folks who are bedridden can especially benefit from silver colloid. Rinse all sheets, pillow cases, towels, blankets, etc by pouring a large cupful into your washer during its rinse cycle. Naturally, spray it directly on festering bed sores, skin rashes, psoriasis, etc. and watch what happens! Add to soaks for dentures and dental appliances.

Allergic reactions to certain foods or other irritants can cause hives or welts to appear on any area of the body of susceptible people shortly after exposure. Instead of running off to the doctor's office for a steroid prescription of topical Cortisone or worst yet, Prednisone, spray colloidal silver on the affected area and watch the hives completely disappear in 15 minutes or so!

I never come down with a bug after long plane trips because I always spray silver colloid in my mouth and inhale the mist through my nose and lungs every 30 minutes or so while on the plane. Oral spraying also eliminates bad breath and reduces gum inflammation or abscess pain.

Pet lovers need to add a capful to their pet's drinking water and spray inside opened cans of pet food that are stored in the refrigerator. Add a cupful to birdbaths, the dog's bath or your bath. Of course, spray it into Fluffy's fur and skin if she has any type of eczema, skin sore, abrasion, or a wound that won't heal, etc. Spray bedding and let it dry.

Put the colloidal silver in a larger pump bottle for use around the kitchen and bathroom. Mist sponges, towels, counters and cutting boards to eliminate odors (especially when preparing sea food), salmonella, E.Coli 0157:H7, (the tainted beef bug that you've been reading about in the newspapers lately) and other fooborne pathogens. Spray on fruits and vegetables before storing. Use when canning, preserving or bottling. Add to milk to slow spoilage. Spray garbage cans and refrigerator shelves to eliminate unpleasant odors. Add to dishwater and mopping solutions.

In the bathroom, spray shower stalls, toilets, bath mats, and pour a couple of cups into hot tubs or Jacuzzi. Add to water poured over saunas rocks or utilized in steam baths. Use in gymnasium foot dips. Spray it on urinals, bidets, toilet seats and sinks.

Around the house (or barn or survival area), add a capful to a gallon of water and use as a plant spray to stop fungi, molds, rot, and most plant diseases. Eliminate unwanted organisms in planter soils (E.g. Square Foot Gardening) and hydroponics systems. Add it to suspected drinking water when traveling or camping. It will neutralize all disease causing pathogens within six minutes. Spray it in your shoes or sneakers to eliminate foot odor. Household repairmen can add it to water based paints, wallpaper glues, and sizing compounds and never worry about mildew and mold again. If you live in a humid environment, spray it on carpets, drapes, and stored clothing and free yourself of musty odors and mildewed clothes.

Dr Bob Beck has repeatedly pointed out in his many lectures, that there are literally thousands of other beneficial uses for colloidal silver that need to be attempted and explored. So this is your chance. Do your part and experiment with this marvelous gift of Nature.

Article 6:
"Anthrax Scare Expands Again" by AP Correspondent David Espro appeared today (10/25/01) in the local Idaho Press Tribune.

A side box insert stated that 10,000 people, mostly postal workers in New York, New Jersey and D.C. had "been given antibiotics" which turned out to be, specifically, the drug "Cipro".

Those 10,000 people have thus been exposed to side effects which include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, restlessness, rash, sensitivity to sunlight, seizures, dizziness and light headedness as discovered from the net in about thirty seconds. (http://www.aidsinfonyc.org/network/access/cipr.html). A few days previous, a doctor appeared on CNN and said that Cipro can cause organ(s) shutdown and death. The side effects listed in the PDR (Physicians Desk Reference) fill an entire page and includes cardiac arrest.

It's all (1) totally and completely unnecessary and (2) done as usual in dedication to the profit margins of pharmaceutical companies. The Silver products discussed herein, for a tiny fraction of the cost and with absolutely zero side effects will kill the microbe that causes Anthrax (see the following insert). In fact and as related very shortly, not a single microbe tested has survived contact with Silver in a laboratory.

This is why you and yours can be completely rid of nuisance items like the sniffles, colds, flu and allergies while simultaneously never fearing infections of any kind, whether they occur on the skin or within the internal systems. It is truly a double blessing, because while disposing of these kinds of things easily and naturally, you simultaneously save yourself from exposure to the unnecessary side effects of antibiotics which can range all the way from minor discomfort to death.

Silver ("Ag" in the table of elements) is the second of Nature's "antibiotics" we have met, the first being H202. You've likely heard of "Colloidal Silver," but the question arises -- what is that? Mr. Friedman (as identified a bit further on) defines it somewhat as follows: If you put sugar or salt in water, it goes into "solution". That is, no matter how long you wait, sugar nor salt is going to settle to the bottom of the glass -- as long as you don't use too much. This is a solution by definition. If you put water from a fast running stream in a glass, it will look clear for awhile but, eventually, you are going to see particles on the bottom of the glass. This is the definition of a "suspension".

A "colloid" lies between the two with particle sizes on the range of 10 to the minus four to 10 to the minus seven power centimeters. And, all colloid's are not created equal. Just because it says "Colloidal Silver" on it, does not mean it's the one you want.

So what does Silver do for you? Well, a Silver milk pail will keep fresh milk from spoiling for hours, because the Silver kills the bacteria that cause the spoilage. Silver dollars in wells and water barrels will keep the water free of bacteria as well. Silver plated catheters kill bacteria that could cause a urinary tract infection. Recently, a person very close cleared up an existing urinary tract infection by taking a Silver solution orally. My wife and I have even more recently consumed a sixteen ounce bottle of that same solution -- just to kill any microbes that might be present without our knowledge. As this is written, our daughter is taking two tablespoons per day as indicated by her body scan. Silver is and will remain a permanent fixture in our household for reasons that are going to become abundantly obvious -- beginning with the very next paragraph.

Another antibiotic, methicillin, provided a backup for a while, but methicillin-resistant staph is now common in hospitals and nursing homes worldwide. Trying to cripple the bacteria's defenses will not do much more than buy us five to ten years ..."

Article 7:
Silver came to my personal attention as the result of personal experiences. First, person A who is very close suffered from a urinary tract infection. Silver cleared it up. A bit later, she suddenly realized that her cough, sniffles and allergies had decreased markedly.

Second, person B made personal contact with a message that sounded like a multitude of infections gone wild. At the time of her writing, she was on her third series of antibiotics without relief. These were/are three different antibiotics, with each one failing in turn. She received and began taking her Silver -- and the first early report a few days later stated that one of the most obvious difficulties was nearly gone.

Beyond that, I receive testimonials almost weekly, and Silver is not infrequently among them. In a recent one, a lady cleared up a large cyst resulting from severe acne by applying Silver topically, and another solved ugly infections in her toes by adding Silver to a hot water soak.

It was the report of three antibiotics which failed one after the other that motivated this issue. Those who rely upon commercial antibiotics are and have been finding themselves in trouble -- and you do not have to be one of them.

"In every case the B coli communis was killed within ten seconds... Many series of experiments similar to this gave similar results; for instance, a young vigorous growth of B tuberculosis was killed by 'collosol' silver in four minutes. Staphylococcus pyogenes, various Streptococci, and other pathogenic organisms, are all killed in three or four minutes; in fact no microbe is known that is not killed by this colloid in laboratory experiments in six minutes."

Breaking news? Not hardly. The above is from "The Use of Colloids in Health and Disease by Alfred Searle as published by Dutton & Company, 1919, as taken from "The New Silver Solution (An Information Guide To Silver Solutions" by Kenneth S. Friedman, Ph.D. The next paragraph is instructive.

"A comparison revealing such a small difference in germicidal power between the collosol and corrosive sublimate, considered in the light of the absolute nontoxicity of the collosol, is surely remarkable and cannot fail to evoke considerable interest."

In another world, perhaps. Have the words "no microbe is known that is not killed" and "absolute nontoxicity" come across with crystal clarity? Silver kills the bad guys and there are no side effects as is the case with antibiotics.

"Untoward toxic effects of antibiotics are well known; they range from death from anaphylaxis or aplastic anemia with penicillin and chloramphenicol, respectively, to severe diarrhea from lincosamides, rash from ampicillin ... and bleeding disorders with some of the new betalactam antibiotics" (Principles and Practices of Infectious Diseases, Calvin Kunin, from "Solutions".)

On page 8 of "Solutions," we learn that J. Cardot, M.D., has published a letter in which he says he has successfully treated more than 50 cases of viral pneumonia with multivalent silver solution as well as other cases to include ear infection in children, infectious fibromyalgia, Sjorgen's syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis with synovial fluid infections, systemic candida albicans, staph infections, gingivitis, the Lyme disease spirochete, HIV, ringworm, psoriasis, genital herpes and herpes zoster.

The "Solutions" table of bacterium that the New Silver Solution will kill follows below. It's long, but I believe worth the listing, from pages 9-11.

"Staphylococcus aureus" causes pneumonia, eye infections, toxic shock syndrome, meningitis, food poisoning and osteomyelitis as well as skin infections to include boils, impetigo, cellulitis and post-operative infections. In tests done at the University of California Davis by Dr. R. Leavitt, the New Silver Solution inhibited the growth of this bacteria at 2.5 ppm (parts per million) and killed it at 5.

"Shigella boydil" causes violent food poisoning. It was inhibited at 1.25 ppm and killed at 2.5.

That "Salmonella arizona" causes food poisoning is going to sound familiar to a lot of people. Inhibited at 2.5 and killed at 5.

"Salmonella typhimurium". Food poisoning and enteric fever, inhibited and killed at 2.5 ppm.

We've all heard of "e-coli". "Escheria coli 0157-H7," or "Jack-in-the-box E. coli" causes food poisoning, urinary tract infection, respiratory tract infection, diarrhea and wound infections. The Silver inhibits it's growth at 2.5 and kills it at 5.

"Escheria coli," or plain "E. coli" causes everything as directly above. Silver inhibits and kills it at 2.5.

"Haemophiles influenzae" causes ear infections, pneumonia, meningitis, throat/sinus infection, epiglottis in children and sinusitis suppurative arthritis in children. The Silver both inhibits and kills it at 1.24 ppm.

"Klebsiella pneumoniae" and "Klebsiella oxytoca" both cause lower respiratory tract infections, pneumonia, meningitis, urinary tract infections, wound infections and "nosocomial" infections. The Silver inhibits and kills these at 2.5. Can't help myself, here: "nonsocomial" is an interesting word. It means the infections you catch from hospitals. With such a fancy word, it can be bandied about and few will know what is being discussed. "Iatrogenic" is another one. The infections you get from visits to your doctor's office.

"Enterobacter aerogenes" causes wound infections, bacteremia urinary tract infections and meningitis. The Silver inhibits and kills it at 2.5 ppm.

"Pseudomonas aeruginosa" causes severe burn and wound infections, keratitis, meningitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections and the infections from hospitals (we'll just dispose of the fancy words which attempt to hide reality and say it like it is). Inhibited and killed at 2.5 ppm.

"Streptococcus pneumoniae" causes pneumonia, meningitis, sinusitis and otitis media. Inhibited at 2.5 and killed at 5.

"Streptococcus pyogenes" causes strep throat, scarlet fever and impetigo. Inhibited and killed at 1.25.

"Streptococcus faecalis" causes urinary tract infections, endocarditis and wound infections. Inhibited and killed at 5 ppm.

"Streptococcus mutans". Dental plaque and tooth decay. Inhibited and killed at 5.

"Streptococcus gordonii" causes tooth decay and infective endocarditis. Inhibited and killed at 5 ppm.

During the writing of this issue, I received the e-mail as follows from a good friend. I'd heard of the Anthrax cases of course but, not fearing it, it did not occur to me that others would and I did not know the media was in the process of blowing the whole thing completely out of proportion.

The strategy is brilliant - target the media and let them in turn create your panic for you. A gas mask will do you no good at all unless it's custom fitted and worn 24/7. And it still won't help you against the Anthrax skin infection. The touted $700 solution might work. The Silver as follows at less than $30 which is the biggest bargain in Silver anywhere will work.

CNN reported a product, of 60 tablets per container for $700, may be effective against anthrax. Question how many pills would you need available for your family??? Gas masks selling for 300- 400% their retail value, it may stop being infected through inhalation, but does nothing to stop the infection through your skin!

A simple mineral called Colloidal Silver is reported to be effective in killing this bacteria even in very weak strengths! In an article written by Ward Dean MD October 2001 Vitamin Research News he states Silver in both liquid and airborne aerosol has been known since 1887 to be extremely toxic to Anthrax spores. He goes on to say although there is no clearly defined dosage, but as safe as Silver is that it would be wise to err on the higher use side, and that there are no known pathogens which have demonstrated resistance to Silver. In the same issue another author states that colloidal silver has caused remission in both Hepatitis and HIV Virus. Germs are often killed that are antibiotic resistant.

Now that anthrax is showing up in the mail how will any of us know we are even infected? We can't take antibiotics such as Doxycycline ahead of time to be prepared, but you can take colloidal silver safely each day and have it in your system in case you are infected without your knowledge. And that way it can be killing the anthrax right away, and of course other antibiotics or cures could also follow it up, if you found out you were infected. We must prepare ourselves, as there is only so much the government can do for us.

He also states that silver taken orally can fight off a variety of bacteria and viruses.
